DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Family Day at the Wende filled with creativity and storytelling! To celebrate the new installation of Scrapbook Movies From LA: A Multimedia Collection of Contemporary History—a collaborative project coordinated with artist Brenda Kenneally—we invite families to create and decorate their own scrapbooks as a way to share personal stories. \nPrior registration is encouraged but not required. All ages are welcome\, and light refreshments will be provided. \nThe opening ceremony for the installation will begin in the A-Frame Theater following the activity period at 3pm.

DESCRIPTION:The opening reception for Scrapbook Movies From LA: A Multimedia Collection of Contemporary History\, an exhibition rendered through the hearts\, hands\, and voices of Angelenos who lived it. Created as a community collaboration between the Wende Museum’s 2025 Artist in Residence Brenda Ann Kenneally\, scrapbook artists from Studio 526 of The People Concern\, participants from the Culver City Senior Center\, and youth from the Wende Museum’s Professional Development Program. \nThe program includes exhibition viewing\, a screening of the scrapbooks\, live performances\, and a complimentary reception\, emphasizing collective memory\, lived experience\, and intergenerational storytelling.
