DESCRIPTION:Join us for a fun evening of music with your family as we celebrate the 100th Anniversary of both Miles Davis & John Coltrane. Enhance your student’s music education in this ‘beyond the classroom’ opportunity to experience a professional jazz quintet perfoming live\, and learn about the lives and musical contributions two of jazz’s icons. \nWho is the Symphonic Jazz Orchestra? \nA non-profit organization that teaches music to students in elementary and middle schools across LA County. \nSJO also brings together its 68-member orchestra to play community concerts featuring new symphonic jazz compositions. This is all part of SJO’s mission to transform communities\, schools and lives through music.
