Introduction to Clay Pottery Building Workshop with Nayeli Nava
Presented in conjunction with (De)constructing Ideology: the Cultural Revolution and Beyond, the Wende Museum invites visitors to register for an interactive workshop introducing a brief history of ceramics and basic building techniques to make a clay vessel. Visitors of all ages are welcome to participate, and supplies are provided at no-cost.
Two 90-minute sessions will be offered, with start times at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.
Slots are limited and advance registration is required.
About the teaching artist:
Nayeli Nava is an artist and designer based in Los Angeles. Interested in how color and composition can represent a variety of relationships and interactions, her ceramic work is composed of impulsive geometric forms and bold colors combinations. The work often takes on a distinct character and sense of humor.
