This collection of documents, photographs, and negative strips was previously bound together in a light blue hard-back cover; now the binding is separate. The documents include forms titled "Information zu gefälschten Dokumenten" - "Information for Forged Documents", dating from 1982-1987. They report instances of the presentation of forged identity documents. The following information is reported on the form: the checkpoint where the incident took place, the date, time, direction of travel, name, date of birth, residency, nationality, and ID document number of the individual attempting to pass . The type of forgery is chosen from the listed options including the use of UV image tampering, deletion of information, addition of information, or page tampering. Photographs showing evidence of the forgery are attached to the form, or laid between the pages referring to it. Also noted are the officer responsible for filling out the form, and the process by which the officer certified the forgery - for example, by comparison with another document, the use of a magnifying glass or oblique light. Forgeries from a vast range of countries including India, Algeria, Lebanon, Australia, Palestine, and Iran are included. Finally, there are additional negative strips and many more photographs of presumably forged passport pages. This collection would have served as a useful teaching tool for border guards learning how to recognize forged identity documents.
