This collection of documents and photographs is bound together in a light blue hard-back cover. It highlights the use of UV lighting to certify the authenticity of a travel document. Photodocumentation pages show how various passports look under UV lighting. Included are passports and visas from several countries: Venezuela, Iceland, Egypt, West Germany, Guinea, Syria, Uganda, Fiji, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Australia, France, Iraq, Zaire (Democratic Republic of Congo) and others. Of special interest is a section dedicated to Finnish passports. Glued onto the pages are photographs of a Finnish passport under normal light compared with UV light. A type-written page explains which parts of the Finnish passports are secured by designs only visible under UV light. A "Paßbeschreibung" or "Passport Description" dated 24.12.1987 records details of a sample Finnish passport, noting the type, material, and color of the cover, type of binding, watermarks, features visible under UV light, and other special characteristics. Photographs show the different pages of the passport as seen under normal and UV light.
