Description

A brigade book created by VEB Einzelhandel und Gaststätten, or HO, which was a state-run retail company that was located in Strausberg. The cover of the brigade book is wrapped in red vinyl with gold lettering that say "Brigadebuch." The book is bound with two bronze screws. The inner cover shows a photograph of Wilhelm Pieck. The book contains a variety of pages featuring both typed and handwritten messages as well as collages, stamps, and drawings created by those in the brigade. A notable page in the book features a list of brigade obligations ad is signed by representatives from the company.
