A brown vinyl photo album with gold lettering on the front and purple cardbord pages. Included are small, mostly handcut, black and white pictures which date to the years 1952-1955. It depicts the time a young male student from the GDR spent in Leningrad (St. Petersburg), probably studying Agriculture / crop science / geology since the reoccurring subjects shown are: physiology, greenhouses, meteorology, math and land surveying (geodesy / geodetics). Living quarters, fellow soviet students and lots of leisure activities and places / daily scenes are depicted. The name of Heinz Richter is mentioned. Has cyrillic handwritting on the front page, other captions in german. Places shown include: trams and metros, Schuwalowa, Sosnowa, Lisino, Kamenz, Berlin, Puschkin theatre, battleship "Aurora", the river Newa and some fishing trips.
