The son of Mexican parents he was born in Culver City, California in 1949. He was raised in the near neighborhood of Mar Vista and attended there Venice High School. Soon after graduation from high school in 1967 he was hired by Northrop Aircraft Corporation where he worked for forty-five years until retirement in 2012. In 1982 he purchased a home in Culver City, CA and still resides there. He married Diane in 1981 and they have two children. Delgado likes to vacation and previously was an ardent fisherman. He likes rock and roll music and also likes his music loud. Not surprisingly, his favorite Los Angeles sound is the one of an aircraft passing overhead. Fred Delgado is an American patriot.
