Black two-ring binder comprising mostly black and white images of incidents that occured at Checkpoint Charlie. The images, some of which are photographs and some scans, are accompanied by texts which introduce and explain the incidents. Also included are photocopies of documentation and reports describing events at Checkpoint Charlie, such as illegal transportation of DDR citizens, or protests and altercations at the border crossing. Some pages also have numbered image lists, however the images themselves are not numbered so it is not clear to which they pertain. The images show vehicles passing through the checkpoint, vehicle inspections, licence plate numbers of Allied vehicles, photography and filming of Checkpoint Charlie from West Berlin, meetings and cermonial occasions of the border guards. Also pictured are West Berliners gathering at the Checkpoint to protest, as well as larger demonstrations, and "Provokateurs" or individuals who caused unrest at the Checkpoint. Some color photographs show Keith Haring's paintings along the West side of the Berlin Wall, and of protest signs being carried by demonstrators. From the perspective of these color photographs, they were presumably taken by a West Berlin photographer.
