A black two-ring binder comprises documents and photographs pertaining to the months following the opening of the border between East and West Berlin, some original and others collected in the years after the fall of the Berlin Wall. The binder opens with a timeline of events from 13th August 1961 - 31st December 1989, followed by copied pages of the photobook "Berlin im November" by Günter Schneider, dated to 1990. Schneider's photographs show the first moments of the fall of the Berlin Wall: crowds gathered to see the opening in the Wall, reunions, handshakes between officials of both sides, and thousands gathered on top of the Wall opposite the Brandenburg Gate . Also included are correspondence between the book's publisher and the Chief Lieutenant of the GDR, and photos of a film crew shooting at Checkpoint Charlie and at vehicle border control points.
