This painting depicts a large block of processed cheese, brand “Orbit,” on a black background with pink and blue sparks emanating from the cheese in a stream like a comet or shooting star. Beneath the cheese is the tag, “Dense in the cosmos, empty on the table!” The orbiting cheese references the fact that there was hardly anything to eat in spite of all the space travel accomplishments since the late 1950s.
