Koch was head of the commercial art department for VEB Geräte- und Regler-Werke Teltow, an electrical device manufacturing company. Together with a team of artists, he executed this work, which features, among other things, factory scenes, a soldier with a rifle, a group of people sitting around a table in conversation, a guitar player with young men and women singing, and a woman in a bathing suit reclining next to a swimming pool with the text “Leisure time in open-air pool Kleinmachow.” A man hangs a poster with a crossed-out bomb and the text “Protect life – Until the year 2000 a world without nuclear weapons.” There is also a portrait of Wilhelm Pieck, the first President of the GDR, framed in gold, with the text “At January 3, 1976, VEB Geräte- und Regler-Werke Teltow received the name “Wilhelm Pieck”. It is an honor and responsibility to carry this name.” Details from this work decorate the cover of the Wende Museum’s TASCHEN book "Beyond the Wall: Art and Artifacts from the GDR," published in 2014.
