The Wende Museum’s popular discussion series Art Past Present resumes at our new location. Please join us as we launch a dynamic season of public programs with a conversation between artist, curator, and writer Corrina Peipon and artist Bari Ziperstein about how the past gives meaning to the present. Chief Curator Joes Segal will moderate what is sure to be a lively interactive discussion.

Corrina Peipon is an artist, curator, and writer living in Los Angeles. She is the director of The Pit, an artist-run gallery in Glendale, and has worked as director at Honor Fraser Gallery, assistant curator at the Hammer Museum, and project coordinator at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles. Her writings have appeared in numerous publications, including Rebecca Morris: Southafternoon; Chris Johanson; All of this and nothing; Engagement Party; and WACK! Art and the Feminist Revolution.

Bari Ziperstein has built an artistic practice at the crossroads of traditional craft, feminist critique, conceptual theory, and historical research. While a conceptual thread runs through her works, the expanse of experimentation is seen through fluent shifts between discrete gallery objects, site-specific public sculptures, and the houseware design line BZIPPY & CO.
