2024-25 Wende Museum Teen Council Application

The Wende Museum Teen Council is a volunteer program for local high school students (Grades 9-12) that meets twice monthly to engage with the museum’s collections, create art collaboratively, and plan an end-of-school-year Teen Night event.

This year’s teaching artist is visual and theatre artist Nancy Keystone, who will lead multimedia “portrait” workshops rooted in themes of surveillance, privacy, and identity, inspired by the Wende Museum’s current Getty PST ART exhibition, Counter/Surveillance: Control, Privacy, Agency.

The program will run from November 2024 to May 2025, with students meeting IN-PERSON as a cohort twice a month at the Wende Museum in Culver City.

Participants must be able to consistently attend these after-school Teen Council meetings, which will held on Wednesdays from 4 p.m—6 p.m.

Outside of student eligibility, there are no formal requirements to become a member of the Wende’s Teen Council – just an open mind and creative spirit.

Complete the application here and submit it by November 17th, 2024 to be considered.
