Not My Holiday is a short and humorous observation about the power of holiday framing. From national holidays to cultural and religious traditions, the state imposes holiday narratives and rituals. But creative and self-willed people always find ways to undercut directives and shape, or return to, their own celebrations. This is a story of clandestine, parallel, and repurposed celebrations.
