Family Day at the Wende
Join us on Sunday, February 27th for Family Day at the Wende Museum. This month’s activity continues our deep dive into the Soviet Jewry movement and the practices of the Soviet underground press (samizdat). Using an authentic 1970s cyrillic script typewriter, participants will type out translated activist slogans from the Soviet Jewry movement and design a micro-publication to contain them in the style of Soviet samizdat.
The activity will take place in the Wende’s Sculpture Garden from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Visitors of all ages and ability levels are welcome to participate.
