Westwood Contemporary is a pop-up gallery of the Wende Museum in the heart of Westwood Village. Located within the iconic mid-century Village Square building, the space offers rotating exhibitions that blur the lines between past and present, politics and play, art and critique.
Opening September 11:
Postcode Ukraine: Diary of a Volunteer brings the Ukraine photographs of Kyiv-based British artist Mark Neville to Los Angeles for the first time. Neville has lived and worked in Kyiv since 2020, making these pictures alongside aid trips to frontline towns. They stay with the people behind the headlines: children growing up in wartime, volunteers supplying their neighbors, and families holding on to routine, dignity, and hope.
Guest curators each chose one photograph and wrote about why it matters now. All proceeds support Postcode Ukraine, the Kyiv-based charity Neville co-founded, which has funded more than $500,000 in local aid since 2022.
