The Wende Museum has partnered with ESMoA in Experience 05: FAME, an exhibition that explores the ambivalent soul of Los Angeles. One part dream machine and another part Vanity Fair, Los Angeles is home to dislocated whimsy and constructed memory. By looking more closely at the unusual juxtaposition of artworks and artifacts from different eras and geographies, ESMoA and the Wende explore the multifarious foundations of memory and fame, questioning celebrity and what makes people famous.
