Several hippies wait to cross a street near cafe Яма (Pit) in Leningrad, 1978. The group stands clustered together at center. The three people in the group that are closest to camera look back towards camera. Two taller men stand at left and right and a shorter man stands at center. The rest of the group is standing in a couple of clusters. Two or three people stand behind and between the men looking to camera at center and left. A few more people stand behind the man looking to camera at right. On the other side of the street, a pedestrian crossing sign is affixed to the corner of a building at far right. Columns line the same building as it extends back towards center. Other pedestrians walk along the sidewalk to the left of the columns. In the background at left, a bus is parked along the curb.
