Members of the band, Under Yermolin’s Direction (Под управлением Ермолина), pose with their instruments at the Leningrad Rock Club on the occasion of John Lennon's birthday, St. Petersburg, October 9, 1981. All members of the group appear to wear jeans and a light-colored button-down shirts. One member of the band sits in the lower left corner; he holds a horn in his lap. Behind him, another member stands and mimics playing his trumpet. At center, 2 guitarists take the same pose with their guitars and give the camera a menacing look. The fifth member sits in partial view along the right edge. He looks to camera and does not hold an instrument. They sit amongst thin metal scaffolding from which fabric is draped.
