Description

A Soviet soldier holding a telephone is flanked by six soldiers, with three on either side of him. The soldiers have the same stern expression, with arms hanging limply at their sides. The poster is about artillerymen and missilemen, artillery is on one side, and missiles on the other. All of the figures and weapons seem to be buoyed to the centrally placed hammer and sickle. Just as the Soviet soldier on the phone is flanked by six other soldiers, the hammer and sickle is flanked by everything and everyone in the poster.
