Three "Emergency Action To Save Lives" booklets. These were intended to provide readers with basic training on first aid situations in the case that medical care is not accessible. The booklet makes it very clear that these actions and lessons are not meant to replace physician care nor is it a replacement for first aid training given by the Red Cross. The emergency actions described in the booklet include keeping an injured person from bleeding to death, helping people with bad burns, helping to prevent shock, dealing with broken bones, preventing suffocation, and proper procedures for handling injured individuals. Several illustrations are found throughout the booklet which show how to properly do the procedures being described.
