Description

A Romanian flag used at the 3rd World Festival of Youth and Students in East Berlin, 1951. The actual flag is a dark purple velvet flag with gold fringe and tassels. Union of Working Youth was created in 1949 by the merger of Romanian Communist youth groups; it was renamed Union of Communist Youth (UTC) in 1965.
