A red, white, and black pennant. It shows a woman's face ("Tamara Bunke") and has "FDJ- Grundorganisation" on it. Tamara Bunke (1937-1967) was born into a German-Jewish family in Argentina, moving to the GDR in 1952. She became a prominent leader in the FDJ, but – fascinated by the figure of Che Guevara – she succeeded in eluding State Security, traveling to Cuba, and beginning a life of multiple identities among revolutionary movements in South America. She is buried in Cuba.
