Booklets and magazines dedicated to sports and recreational activities in the German Democratic Republic. Many materials are intended for children in the Youth Pioneers in the DDR. Materials related to sports include the following: a booklet that provides instruction for beginning skiers, a booklet about the importance of sports in promoting socialism, and three magazines that highlight mountain sports like hiking and skiing that might appeal to younger people in the East Germany. Magazines are printed in color and booklets are printed in black and white. Folder also includes two instruction booklets for photography, two booklets that have songs for Young Pioneer members to sing along with, and three postcards for children to send from a Youth Pioneer camp.
