A booklet with letters written by incarcerated American author and revolutionary, George Jackson, to Angela Davis. While imprisoned in San Quentin State Prison (for armed robbery in 1960), Jackson was introduced to Marxist, Leninist, and Maoist ideology. He later began sending letters to Angela Davis and the two met for the first time on July 8th, 1971 while both were imprisoned. Jackson was killed by prison guards just a month later in August 1971 during an attempted prison escape. The letters sent to Angela Davis were subsequently translated and turned into a radio play by East German author and journalist, Maximilian Scheer. The play was created in support of the release of Angela Davis from her imprisonment.
