Description

Zvezda-54 Radio. Consumer radio receiver, produced from 1954-1950. Has connections on the back to hooked up to record player and external speaker. Plate on the front is to tune into different cities around the Soviet Union, both long and medium wave frequencies. Design was notable for being too "western" or "bourgeois-capitalist" in appearance. Compared to the more simple designs of other radios, this design was very popular with consumers. Case shows some chipping paint, plug is not intact.
