A forest-green background with the caption "Forest - Green Friend...". Pictured is a basket, colored in with a photo of a birch forest and filled with mushrooms, berries, and flowers. Birch forests are a classic symbol of the Russian rural life, and mushrooms and berries are traditional foodstuffs foraged by rural Russian families. This poster calls for the conservation of forests, appealing to the benefits they provide and their traditional place in Russian culture. The caption itself is an allusion to the 1947 article by famed Russian novelist Leonid Leonov entitled "In Defense of a Friend", in which he calls for the protection of forests as a matter of both utility and patriotism. This poster is mounted on a board and wrapped in plastic. A small puncture in the plastic has created a flap and a small holw in the poster. On the back, beneath the plastic wrap, a strip cut from the poster has the artist's name and a symbol that resembles an eye with the eath in the middle.
