Poster depicting a traditional ink painting, or guohua, of Jinggangshan, the location of the Chinese Communist Party's first elected government council. Li Keran was a noted landscape painter who studied at the National Academy of Arts in Hangzhou. While some of his work was criticized during the Cultural Revoluion, he later became the first president of the China National Academy of Painting.
