Description

Metal model of a petrochemical plant that also functions as a clock. According to the seller, the model was made in a single copy by the workers of the Sintezkauchuk plant in honor of the 50th anniversary of the plant's chief engineer in 1980. The oil tank of the model contains the clock and the lid of the tank features an engraved boxer. The clock face shows what appears to be a stylized depiction of a Kremlin building with Olympic rings underneath it. The metal base of the model stands on three metal legs and is heavily oxidized. The engraving on the base roughly translates to "Gladilin G.P. on the day of the 50th anniversary of the Togliatti association Sintezkauchuk. 15.VIII.80".
