Description

Oversized blue magazine journal with red text. This magazine covers industrial and political developments in the Soviet Far East, with strong anti-Japanese themes throughout. Highlighting the regional transformation into an industrial hub including coal mining, lumber camps, fisheries, canneries, sugar beet farming, granaries, and collective farms. Also featured are Soviet military vigilance, with frequent references to air force patrols and also features Chinese resistance against Japanese forces. Story of Komsomol youth as well as child care initiatives in the region. A fold out map details the Soviet Far East's industrial expansion and the locations of industries.
