Decorative plate commemorating the Pioneer units of Elsterwerda, a town located in the German Democratic Republic. The plate features large text that reads: "UNSER WORT SOLDATENBEKENNTNIS-78 UNSERE TAT PIONIEREINHEITEN DES MB-III" in orange lettering, and "PIONIEREINHEITEN DES MB-III" in dark green lettering. The center of the plate features a graphic of an anchor that is bisected by a circle. The inside of the circle appears to feature a vehicle, likely a train.
