Description

Chinese Cultural Revolution enamel plate, with the slogan at the top, "People's Communes are Good!" which was proposed during the Great Leap Forward, aiming to promote collectivized farming in the countryside. The center of the plate is a bunch of wheat tied together with a sign that reads "abundance". In the background are motifs of harvest, including cabbage, radish, and corn.
