A nude man next to a wheel and scyth stands under the eye of a microscope, looking up and sticking his tongue out. The man, apparently standing in a grassy field, covers his nakedness while placed directly in the observation plate of the microscope between two small mirrors, and the Russian text above reads “Enough experiments…” The experimentation with agriculture referred to is the forced collectivization under Stalin’s Five-Year Plans, when he imposed misguided quotas and demanded collective farming from the Soviet farmer population, leading to widespread famine and death.
