Cybernetics 1 shows a cubic optical pattern in the colors: neon pink, lime green, forest green, teal, navy blue, white. Most of the purple ink or paint has a shimmer. Within the pattern, there are clusters of white and teal squares that appear flat, while the cubes that surround the white and teal squares appear three dimensional. The donor writes that "Cybernetics, were inspired by the mathematical formulas that were actively performed in the family. Andreeva`s husband was a scientist and her daughter Tatiana Andreeva studied higher mathematics and later applied these formulas to the textile and interior designs". The donor also states that the Soviet first lady, Raisa Gorbacheva wore a black and white skirt with the Cybernetics design on an official visit to Kazakhstan. On the back of Cybernetics 1 is the approval signature of the Committee, the design reference number, and the indication of the production fabric – "Golubka" (the dove).
