This framed digital print by Renée Petropoulos, titled East and West, depicts two vessels against a white background upon a wood surface. The vessel pictured on the right is decorated with streaks of turquoise, white, brown, yellow, and light orange. It has two bands of dotted designs, as well as a handle. Both vessels cast a reflection onto the pictured wood surface. The vessels are in focus, while the background and foreground are blurred. On the very right edge, a background beyond the white backdrop is visible. The image itself is surrounded by a thick white border. The print is framed in a glossy light-colored wood frame. On the back of the frame is a label from Art Services Melrose, with notes on inspection, completion date, and glass choice (UV Plex). The two vessels juxtapose East and West Germany.
