The item is a painting of the first female cosmonaut, Valentina Tereshkova. The painting is primarily blue, and Tereshkova is painted in yellow, blue, pink, and green. There are figures and a cityscape in the background that appear minute by comparison. Along the border, there is canvas lining the paintings edges. It is likely this was a model for a larger scale mural.
