Built in 1591, Mihai Voda is the oldest of Bucharest’s displaced churches. The 316-yard trip went westwards, then southwards, then eastwards, then southwards again, with a 6.5 yard change in elevation. The monastery originally located next to it was destroyed. This photograph depicts the church in the wintertime, with snow on the ground. A large cross is in the foreground, with a person in a jacket and discarded boxes and brooms to the side.
