Who Did Your Hips? is a community-based salon series that brings people across Los Angeles together for candid, thoughtful, and lively conversations about the many dimensions of aging. Through expert perspectives, shared experiences, and open dialogue, the series invites participants to explore the challenges, possibilities, and choices that come with growing older.
Our October salon will focus on Aging in Place, exploring not only whether we remain in our current homes, but how we plan for where and how we want to live as we age. How can we maintain agency, independence, connection, and comfort as our needs change? What social, medical, and housing considerations might we be overlooking? And what practical steps can we take now to prepare for a range of possible futures?
The conversation will feature aging specialists Wendy Jane Carrel and Andrea Sherman, who bring expertise in long-term care planning, health advocacy, housing, and accessibility. Barbara Osborn, UCLA Osher Institute instructor and author of the Reimagine Aging Substack, will moderate.
Join us for an informative and participatory afternoon of conversation, reflection, and community connection.
Community Partner programs are hosted on site but are independently organized and may not reflect the views of the Wende Museum. For questions regarding this event, please contact the event organizer.
